LeftCoast is an exciting and ambitious Arts Council England Creative People & Places programme to develop arts engagement across Blackpool and Wyre. The programme is part of a major national initiative by Arts Council England to engage people in the arts that don?t currently do so.

We?ve got an ambitious and exciting few years coming up ? where else can you work on developing a disused hotel into an artist designed B&B one day and a re-imagining of King Kong the next?

A key aspect to Creative People and Places is the empowerment of the local community to take the lead in developing arts programmes in the areas in which they live. Within its first three years of existence, LeftCoast has been a significant catalyst for change, accelerating cultural momentum across Blackpool and Wyre. It?s a tough job and that?s why we need the best candidate to join us in delivering our work.

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead LeftCoast and its dedicated team during the delivery and evaluation stages of this programme.

Based in Blackpool, this role carries responsibility for effective programme management, leading the delivery team and a complex range of projects spanning all art forms from small grassroots workshops to major international artists. You will be an excellent collaborator, experienced at generating momentum, realising ambition and following through to fruition.

LeftCoast?s programme is managed by a consortium comprising of Blackpool Council Cultural Services, Wyre Council, Merlin (The Tower), Blackpool Grand Theatre and Blackpool Coastal Housing the latter being the lead consortium partner and host organisaton.
