House of Wingz have choreographed ‘The Blackpool Way‘, inspired by all your amazing submissions. Learn the dance yourself by checking out our tutorial videos below.

Here is a seated version of ‘The Blackpool Way’ but if you fancy a challenge you can give the level 2 tutorial a go. Share how you get on by using the hashtags #getdancing #blackpoolway.

Have you heard our new Blackpool song, ‘The Blackpool Way‘?
The track was created by Leeds-based composer, Callum Harvie for our Get Dancing project. It takes inspiration from Horiato Nicholls’ 1938 hit: Blackpool Walk.

Wow! We were absolutely blown away by your dance moves, which helped inspire House of Wingz when they came up with the Blackpool Way routine.

Check out all of the submissions in our gallery, and see if you can spot yourself or someone you know!

Join Rebecca, Showtown’s assistant curator, on a whistle stop tour of ballroom dancing, to understand how the world’s most famous dancing competition came to be right here in Blackpool!
